About The Ships
An Extraordinary Fleet of Intimate Ships
The ships of the National Geographic-Lindblad Expeditions fleet are designed to go where the action is, to maneuver into remote harbors and narrow channels that larger ships cannot reach. The fleet’s icebreakers are small ships of the highest ice class, allowing us to venture further into the pack ice of the polar regions but also to navigate small ports in the Azores or the Coral Triangle.
Each vessel is outfitted with a full range of tools for exploration that allow us to experience a destination with all five senses. Rather than gazing at a seabird colony from afar, we climb into Zodiacs or kayaks to get a closer look. We might discover the corals of a South Pacific lagoon by stand-up paddleboard, snorkel, or glass-bottomed boat, or listen into the sounds of a gray whale off Baja California using a hydrophone.
Accommodating no more than 148 guests—and as few as 48—the ships offer an inviting home base after an exhilarating day of exploring. On board, comfort and service are paramount: cabins are spacious and well appointed, and spa services offer relaxation after a day of exploring. Dining venues serve regionally inspired cuisine with fresh, local ingredients. Expansive lounges host daily recaps, cultural performances, and engaging talks while offering intimate spaces to socialize, and an exceptional crew takes care of every detail.
